Whether this is your first or fourth fall semester at Rutgers, you may still need to complete the financial aid process so your aid can disburse. Review the list below and see if you can check off all of the boxes.
Submit all required forms and documents. To find out if you still need to submit a document, visit financialaid.rutgers.edu/docs. Your aid will be finalized after all documents are submitted and reviewed. Some of the most frequently requested documents are below.
Submit the Master Promissory Note (MPN) and complete entrance counseling if you are a first-time federal loan borrower.
Submit the Perkins Master Promissory Note (MPN) to receive your Perkins loan. The Perkins MPN cannot be emailed or faxed, so please mail or submit in person.*
Complete Perkins entrance counseling. The Perkins entrance counseling cannot be emailed or faxed, so please mail or submit in person.*
Confirm your attendance. Instructions for how to do so can be found on the Office of Student Accounting website.
If you want to decline or reduce your federal loans, or you are only going to register as a part-time student, or are moving from on to off campus, you can submit a Data Change Form (DCF). The link is on your Award Letter. If you don’t have any changes, you don’t need to submit the form.
* These documents are for first-time Perkins loan borrowers. If you have not yet completed the Perkins MPN or entrance counseling, you may lose this funding. Check your missing documents to see if you still need to submit these documents.
