Submitting Verification Documents
Rutgers may need to verify some of the information you input on the FAFSA. If you need to submit additional documents, you will receive an email notification. Award Letters cannot be finalized until all requested documents are submitted and reviewed.
Applying for Financial Aid
The first step in applying for financial aid is to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The 2019-2020 FAFSA is available on October 1, 2018 at fafsa.ed.gov.
Be sure to enter Rutgers Federal School Code (002629) on the FAFSA so your information is sent to the Rutgers Office of Financial Aid.
Priority Filing Deadline
The FAFSA priority filing deadline for incoming students is December 1, 2018. Filing the FAFSA before this date ensures that you are considered for all available funding at Rutgers.
