Medical Students

The AAMC's FIRST (Financial Information, Resources, Services, and Tools) program provides free resources to help students and residents make wise financial decisions by providing unbiased, reliable resources.

Before you graduate from medical school and begin residency, you must make decisions about your school loans that will have a long-term impact on your finances. The AAMC provides a free Education Debt Management Booklet.

Dental Students

The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) provides dental students with free information to help plan, organize, and manage student loan debt.

The AAMC/ADEA Dental Loan Organizer and Calculator (DLOC) is offered through a partnership between the AAMC and ADEA. It’s free to currently enrolled dental students, graduates and residents.

Check Your Credit Report

You can find all private/alternative loans on your credit report. Remember there are three credit bureaus – Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. Check all three credit reports for a full view of all debts.
