Exit Counseling

Committed to making your education affordable

All students with federal loan debt who are graduating, enrolled for less than 6 credits in the upcoming semester, and/or transitioning to graduate school are required to complete mandatory exit counseling.

NOTE: If you do not complete the exit counseling requirement, a hold will be place on your records. The hold will only be removed once we verify the completion of the exit counseling.

RBHS Exit Counseling

If you are currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or professional school program within Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), you must complete the online exit counseling session.

Review the exit handbook for important loan repayment information, and reference the directory of contacts to contact your lender and other key agencies.

Perkins Exit Counseling

If you have a Federal Perkins Loan, you will need to complete an exit counseling session online.

  • Login to borrower.ecsi.net using your account number and ECSI pin number.
  • Click on the "Exit Interview" link.
  • From the list of Pending Exit Interviews, select the appropriate exit to complete and follow the instructions provided.
  • If your Exit Interview does not appear, please check back in 24 hours. If after 24 hours, the Exit Interview still does not appear, please contact ECSI for assistance.
